Prof. Onno van Schayck is born in Sorong Irian Jaya (New Guinea) on 16 April 1958. After obtaining his PhD on the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Nijmegen (The Netherlands) he started in 1990 as research coordinator at the Department of General Practice of the University of Nijmegen and since 1996 also at the Department of General Practice of the University of Maastricht. In 1998 he was appointed as professor of medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Maastricht and the University of Nijmegen. The past 25 years he has been in charge over 60 research projects especially concerning the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and COPD and smoking cessation in primary care. He was promotor of 70 PhD students. Since 1990, Van Schayck has published more than 500 papers in peer reviewed international journals, among which the highest impact medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Total funding obtained until 2015 adds up to 46 million Euro governmental and charity grants. In 1999 he was appointed in the board of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Maastricht and on 1 October 2000 he became Scientific Director of the Care and Public Health Research Institute (CAPHRI). He was chair or member of many national scientific advisory boards (4-6th Framework EU Funding, Zon MW, Vidi, TOP, Lung Foundation) and the Dutch Health Council. In 2013 he was appointed as Scientific Director of the Netherlands School of Public Health and Care research.

Flavia Franconi is a MD and was full professor in pharmacology at University of Sassari, Italy. Actually, she is the coordinator of National Laboratory of Gender Medicine and Pharmacology of INBB-Sassari and the coordinator of WG20 commission Equity in Health. She published more that 200 articles in peer reviewed international journals. Many of them are focused on study the sex and gender differences between men and women in many aspect of life including nutrition.

Dr. Tamara B. Popović is a Research Associate Professor at the Institute for Medical Research University of Belgrade (2000-present). She mentored in two PhD thesis several master theses and BSc studies and published more than 100 articles. She has given over 20 plus invited/keynote/plenary presentations through the world. She is member of several national and international societies concerning her research area. She is owner of patent in the research field of food in her country which is great achieve. She is member of some Editorial boards in scientific journals. During the career she participate in 5 national and several International projects and lead several working packages. Professor Popović field of interest are lipids, metabolism and fatty acids of membrane phospholipids in plasma and tissues. She investigated with her team effect of bioactive substances in animal models, human interventional studies, and analyze bioactive substances and its effects on lipid metabolism and redox status. Professor Popović collaborate with clinics, laboratories and pharmaceutical companies in her country.

Samir Jaoua is a Full Professor at the Dept. of Biol. & Environ. Sc., at Qatar University [World QS ranking178, THE 201-250]. He obtained his PhD at the Univ. of Technol. of Compiegne (France). He is also a Professor at the Univ. of Sfax (Tunisia). He has been working in the field of microbial biotechnology for the production of metabolites and the biological control of plants and food pathogens and has many years of experience in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Tunisia, and Qatar. Samir Jaoua have been teaching BSc, MSc and PhD courses of Microbiology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Genetic engineering and DNA Technology, Environmental genomics and bioengineering, and many others. He have supervised 19 successfully defended PhDs, in addition to many BSc senior projects and MSc theses. He is mainly a senior author in more than 150 international original research articles in international peer-reviewed Scopus and web of Sc. Journals.

Dr. Stefano Bellentani is an Independent Gastroenterology and Hepatologist Consultant Ticino, Switzerland. Assistance activity and services From 1979 to 1981 he worked in the Emergency Department of the Modena Polyclinic and the Carpi Hospital. From 1981 to 1983 he practiced the profession of general practitioner at the city of Campogalliano (Modena) From 1983 to 2014 he was a specialist gastroenterologist consultant at the USL of Modena in the hospitals of Modena, Carpi and Mirandola From 2014 to 2016 he worked as Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at the Royal Hospital of Shwresbury (UK) and at Frimley Park Hospital in London (UK). Dr. Stefano Bellentani carries out activities of hepatologist/gastroenterologist at 360 degrees: He is able to perform - Gastroenterological, hepatological and nutritional visits - Abdominal ultrasounds with or without contrast medium - Quantitative assessment of steatosis and liver fibrosis with Fibroscan or with Share-wave - Diagnostic and operative esophagogastroduodenoscopy - Diagnostic and operative colonoscopies - Sigmoidoscopy with flexible endoscope - Management of a Gastroenterology Department Starting from 1 October 2019 he work as a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist performing Esophagogastroscopies and Diagnostic colonoscopies under sedation, ultrasounds, fibroelastometry and internal consultancy, gastro- hepatological and nutritional studies at the office that belonged to Dr Italo Fumagalli, in Via della Pace 3, 6600 Locarno. He also collaborate, as he have done from the beginning, with Prof Andreas Cerny and the other hepatologist colleagues of the Hepatocenter of Lugano. Finally, he still part of the "Italian Medical Doctors" in London. Scientific research and teaching/dissemination activities: From 1982 to 1984, after having won a Fulbright scholarship, he carried out research work in the field of transport of molecules through the liver at the Gastroenterology Unit of the Veteran Administration Hospital in San Diego, University of California, USA. He is co-founder, together with Prof.Claudio Tiribelli, Full Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Trieste, of the Fund for the Study of Liver Diseases, the first non-profit organization for the study of liver diseases in Italy, became ONLUS (Non-Profit Organization of Social Utility) since 1994 of which, from 1992 to 2003 he was President of the Scientific Committee. He is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Liver Foundation (www.fegato.it) From 2005 to the present he is President of the Scientific Committee of the “Amici del Fegato-ONLUS” association which he founded. He has been a speaker at numerous seminars in Italy and abroad at various clinical and university institutes and at more than 120 communications at national and international congresses. Won the Sheila Sherlock International Award for Best oral presentation (Dionysos Project) at the biennial Congress of the International Association for the Study of Diseases of the Liver (IASL, Cancun, Mexico, May 1994). He is reviewer for many international scientific journals (including Gastroenterology, J.of Hepatology, Gut, Hepatology, Digestive Disease and Science, Digestive and Liver Disease, Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, etc) and Referee for the Scientific Committee of the Third World Academy of Science. Since 2000 he has been a member of the Scientific and Editorial Committee of the medical-scientific magazine: “Nutrition and Prevention” . Since 2018 he is Associate Eidtor of BMC Gastroenterology. of the "World Journal of Gastroenterology", of "Annals of Hepatology" and of "Liver International". He is a member of the following scientific associations: Swiss Association for Liver Diseases (SASL); Italian Association for the Study of the Liver (AISF); American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), USA; European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL); American Gastroenterology Association (AGA); Italian Society of Gastroenterology (SIGE). Author of more than 150 publications (Total Impact Factor = 460) In detail: 105 publications in international peer-reviewed journals 21 in national newspapers 39 book chapters 150 abstracts selected for oral or poster presentations at international congresses and speakers at at least 50 events and international congresses in the last 15 years.

Sylvain Guyot is currently Director of Research at INRAE (French National Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment) in Le Rheu, France. He obtained his doctorate in biochemistry in 1994 and his HDR (Accreditation to supervise research) in 2006. He is currently head of the "Polyphenols, Reactivity & Processes" team in the BIA (Biopolymers, Interactions and Assemblies) Research Unit. He’s also scientific co-leader of the P2M2 Mass Spectrometry Analytical Platform. He has over 30 years' research experience in the field of plant phenolic compounds and their biochemical and chemical reactivity during food processing. He has particular expertise in polyphenols in cider production. He is currently the author of over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals, with an h-index of 38.

After studying to become an agricultural engineer, Dominique Rinaldo took a PhD degree in Animal physiology at Rennes University (France). In 1991, she came to Guadeloupe and was recruited at INRAe where I have studied heat resistance and meat quality in growing pigs until 2004. Since, she have been working on the organoleptic, nutritional and functional qualities of starchy tropical food products. First, she have examined the influence of biotic and abiotic stresses on banana quality for about ten years. Since 2015, she have been focusing on qualities of root crops, mainly yam, with a particular interest in processing ability.

Dr. Aleksandra Tasić Doctor of physicochemical sciences PhD in Physical Chemistry, graduated chemist, Research associate at the Scientific Institute of Veterinary Medicine of Serbia, in Belgrade (Serbia). PhD degree in Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade. She has many years of experience in establishing chromatographic methods. Also, in the field of environmental protection, she dealt with the extraction and adsorption of contaminants from different environmental matrices. She has extensive experience in working on the GC/MS, GC/FID and HPLC systems and all classical analytical methods in food and environmental control. From 2008 to 2009 worked in the laboratory of the Hydrometeorological Institute for water and sediment quality control. From 2009 to 2015 worked at the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, and taught analytical and organic chemistry. Participant in a large number of innovation projects. At the Institute, she deals with the control of the presence of pesticides in food and feed and the examination of nutritional quality parameters. From 2015 she is working in Scientific Institute of Veterinary Medicine of Serbia as the head of the chemical laboratory of quality control and safety of food and feed.

Pietro Calandra is a chemist, physicist, writer and science popularizer working at the National Research Council of Italy as senior researcher. He has a long experience in the study of complex chemical systems, with particular attention to strongly interacting molecular systems (fluids) and on the behaviour of smart materials under external (electric, magnetic, mechanical) stimuli. He is involved in material science with more than 120 scientific papers. He manages several research projects on the designing of novel materials by re-using waste materials in the ambit of circular economy.

She is working to provide practical solutions to socio-economic problems in Algeria's isolated desert regions. She has designed the first 15m3 biodigester in the town of Tamanrasset (southernAlgeria) and created her environmental consultancy company "SYNERGY" to be more active in the field of environmental protection. Since 2014, Kheira has been working with passion on anaerobic digestion to produce biogas, electricity and biofertilizer from organic waste and especially from the camel dung and food waste. Her project was also awarded the label of Innovative Project by the Algerian Ministry of Start-ups in September 2021. "Green-AlEnergy start-up" won the "Ready to Invest" award during the A3CChallenge (Algerian Climate Challenge) in March 2022 for its prototype "Green-Al" mobile biodigester, and the Emerging Mediterranean award "Women in Entrepreneurship" in the same year.

Prof Ramesh Gupta is former Pro vice chancellor of Nagaland Central university and Vice Chancellor Radha Govind University, Jharkhand India, had obtained PhD as the age of 23 years He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Science, and Master of Science in organic chemistry, and Doctorate in Chemistry at Lucknow University India, on Drug Development. Dr. Ramesh Gupta is a Medicinal & Bioorganic Chemist and has worked for several years as visiting professor/Scientist in various Medical schools; Louis pasture University France, University of Arizona USA, Osaka University & Nagoya University Japan, Kyung Hee University, Korea advance institute of science and technology (KAIST) Korea, Ben-Gurion University Israel, Linkoping University Sweden, University of Mons Belgium, University of Western Australia, Sydney ,University of Bergen, Norway and some others. Dr. Andrés Pinzón is a Computational Biologist, associate professor at Institute for Genetics, National University of Colombia and head of the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Laboratory at the same University. His research is focused on the coupling of computational modeling, nutrition and multi-omics data for the understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying human health and disease, particularly on the onset and development of neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Ruchi Singh Parihar is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at IBS, Center for Climate Physics, Busan, South Korea. The major aim of her research to use the Mathematical Dynamical Model for Vector Borne Diseases Transmission to better understand the impact of Climate Variability and population on the Geographic distribution of Vector Borne diseases worldwide (Malaria, Dengue, Japanese encephalitis). She is also working on Climate Change Impacts, and Global Environmental Health with Particular interest in translational Research directed toward sustainable development activities. Dr. Vita Petek is an assistant professor and researcher at the University of Maribor. She obtained her doctorate in the field of agrarian economics, and at the same time she completed her law studies. Her areas of research are wine, gastronomy, wine tourism and wine etiquette, on which she publishes scientific and professional articles, participates in domestic and international projects, and lectures at foreign universities. In the field of wine, she has additional education and is a level 1 sommelier and has a WSET 2 certificate. In his spare time, she travels around the world, research wine destinations, reads wine labels and attends wine festivals.

Jordi Cuñé is R&D manager at ABBiotek HNH since 2021. He holds a degree in Microbiology and Food Science and Technology, Master of Science and PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Science in its FPU program. Since 2006, after completing his doctorate, Jordi has developed his professional career in private industry, leading research departments focused on the field of the microbiome. More than 35 peerreviewed articles and 18 families of international patents related to the development of prebiotics, probiotics, microbial consortia, and enzymes have been obtained from them, being commecialized abroad as food, food supplment or medical food products. He has served as a scientific leader in public funded projects on the basis of competitive applications.

Laia Martí Melero holds a degree in biology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2020). After completing her bachelor, she studied a master's degree in Bioengineering from the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS) with a thesis focused on gene therapy. Additionally, she has a master's degree in science education.

Monika Jangir is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Temasek Lifesciences Laboratory, Singapore. She holds a PhD in agriculture biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. Her doctoral thesis was focused on the management of fusarium disease in tomato crop, where she worked on metagenomics and metabolomics of the soil and plant, respectively. Her research interests include urban farming, hydroponics, post-harvest senescence and Raman spectroscopy. She is currently working on a project entitled “Disruptive & Sustainable Technologies for Agricultural Precision (DiSTAP)” which is a research programme funded by National Research Foundation (NRF) under the Singapore-MIT Alliance for research and technology enterprise. The main aim of her work is to find ways to mitigate fungal disease in leafy vegetable crops and develop non-invasive diagnostic tools to report on plants health status at an asymptomatic stage which will greatly benefit farmers as it provides an opportunity to growers to alleviate the stress before irreversible plant damage occurs.

Dr. Farshid Talat is Assistant Professor of Crop genetics and Breeding at Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization of Iran. He is doing research in the field of crop genetics and biotechnology for 23 years and has been teaching Genetics and Biostatistics in several universities since 1999. He has conducted extensive studies on crop breeding and plant architecture systems in Iran. Dr. Talat served as a coordinator of 50 national projects .He received his B.Sc. degree in Agronomy and Plant Breeding from Urmia University in 1997 and his M.Sc. in Plant Breeding-Biotechnology from University of Tehran in 1999. Dr.Talat received his PhD from Chinese Academy of Sciences in Genomics on wild cotton sequencing program. He is the author of 85 national and international published papers. Ms. Achini Madushani Mannawa Arachchige is currently a PhD student at School of Science, Western Sydney University, Australia, and she is working on a Food Science research project under the topic of “The effects of fractionation of Black Soldier Fly Larvae on the quality of oil and the chitin rich fraction”. She have also been working on ‘Nutritional qualities of BSFL’ as a casual research assistant at Western Sydney University, Australia. She have completed her master’s degree in Master of Science (Food Science) at the same university and worked on a research project regarding the dissolution of chitin in different solvents using capillary electrophoresis instrument. She have completed her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science (specialised in Food Science) at Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka and worked on a research project regarding ‘functional properties of egg white proteins’. Her areas of research interest are novel food sources, Functional foods, and Sustainable food production.

Oshinie is a graduate student in BSc. Honors in Microbiology, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. Her final year research project was focused on study the preservation, food technological and microbial applications of Moringa leaves to increase its’ shelf life. She continues further research projects related to Food Microbiology and Biotechnology, under the supervision of Dr. (Mrs.) Ranjani Amarakoon. She has published an article in a peer reviewed international journal and also she has participated as a presenter in NUTRICON 2022.

Alabi Olusoji David is currently a doctoral student at Faculty of Applied Science, Durban University of Technology. His research focus is phytoremediation and decontamination of pollution site. He was conferred with Master degree in 2021 at Mangosuthu University of Technology, South Africa. He lectured Conservattion Ecology and Animal Behavior as a replacement lecturer in Department of Nature Conservation, Mangosuthu University of Technology. He graduated from Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria in 2010with a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture and a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering Technology in 2006 from Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan, Nigeria. He has authored and co-authored articles published in accredited journals. Other areas of interest include climate change, organic waste, carbon sequestration and integrated pest control.
